Planmeca Autoclave
Technical specifications
|
|
The new Planmeca Autoclave for class B loads sterilizes any
kind of material, whether solid, hollow or porous. The
autoclave automatically monitors all the operational functions.
With its integrated printer and liquid crystal display, it also
guarantees easy feedback and recording of the cycles. If
connected to a computer, this autoclave will be part of the
dental practice's digital information system.

Preventive safety
|
|
|
With an increasing number of virally
transmitted diseases, it has become evident that protecting
both patients and personnel requires reliable sterilization
processes. Class B autoclaves represent the top class of
sterilizers. These autoclaves can sterilize wrapped solid,
hollow and porous material and any dental practice performing
surgical procedures should therefore have a class B autoclave.
Class B Planmeca Autoclave fulfils the strict requirements of
the CEN standard PrEN13060 "Small Steam Sterilizers".
|
|
|
Planmeca Autoclave uses fractionated vacuum for all the
cycles. The three-phase split vacuum guarantees perfect air
aspiration even for porous or hollow objects.

|
Effortless operation
|
|
|
Planmeca Autoclave has 6 sterilization
cycles: 121°C or 134°C for wrapped and unwrapped
instruments, a fast "flash" cycle, and a special
prion cycle. For testing purposes, there is a vacuum test
cycle and a program for Bowie & Dick test for checking
steam penetration. The programs are selected with a simple
push of the program selection button.
The autoclave monitors the tanks and messages
the levels of clean and used water. It is also equipped with a
connection to a water demineralization system.

Swift usability
|
|
|
In connection with Planmeca Autoclave, the printer is not
merely an option, but a standard feature. Operating the
autoclave has never been as easy as now since the integrated
printer automatically registers the cycle progress without the
need to find space for an external printer.
The printout gives detailed information on the autoclave as
well as the time, pressure and temperature parameters measured
during the cycle.

Unique technology
|
|
|
Planmeca Autoclave provides completely
computerized management of the sterilization temperature and
pressure, guaranteeing reliability and swift progress of the
selected cycle. In case the slightest deviation is detected,
the cycle will be interrupted and an information message will
appear.
The automatic "night cycle" operation
allows all the cycles to be executed without the presence of
an operator. At the end of each cycle, if the door is not
opened, the power will automatically be switched off. This
happens only after the anti-condensation feature has gradually
decreased the temperature to degrees where condensation will
not occur and the instruments are let to dry properly.
For safety reasons, the door can be opened only
when the chamber pressure has returned to normal. Door opening
is blocked by an electromagnet, which can be disengaged only
by pressing the DOOR button on the control panel.
The chamber of sterilization is made of
stainless steel and has a band-shaped heating element, which
ensures better distribution of the steam without thermal
excursion.

Advanced cycle filing
|
|
|
The autoclave is ready to be connected to the computer for
managing the cycle information in an electronic format, which
is an important factor in quality control and documentation.
This optional PC connection feature consists of a
Windows-based PC software. The optional software manages and
files all the data related to the executed sterilization
cycles.
